You'll Know Them By Their Love ... and By Their Honesty

From Ed Brayton, we see this appalling video of how "loving" Christians yell at a lesbian couple getting a marriage license in Kentucky.

Yup, you'll know them by their love.

And, in related news, Barry Arrington loves to label those who disagree with him as liars, while providing this gem: "The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most reliably documented events in all of human history."

Yup, more reliably documented than the Battle of Waterloo, the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima, the assassination of Lincoln, the invasion of Normandy, the sinking of the Titanic, ...

You'll know them by their honesty.

Techically I donøt think Barry's being dishonest (at least in this case), just monumentally deluded.

You don't think he is being dishonest? That anything about Jesus is well attested is a big fat lie. I don't know about you, but I have a word for people who tell big fat lies. Whether he believes himself to be a liar, seems irrelevant, especially for an adult who makes his views deliberately public.

Ole Barry, the dumbest lawyer in America not named Larry Klayman, Matt Stever, or Orly Taitz, is todays recipient of the Goebbels award for the big lie of the day.

No, in this case I don't think he's being dishonest. I think he's insane. As in there is something physiologically wrong with his brain such that he's without the capacity to objectively evaluate anything that has to do with religion and creationism vs atheism and evolution.

Again, he's suffering from a colossal delusion, in part maintained by the fact that he's in this bubble of nutcases that all clap and cheer when they all confirm each other's preconceptions. It's just another severe case of Morton's Demon at work.
